Staff
Includes names and duty timings of nurses and ward attendants with their respective ward numbers. Instructions given to nurses for each patient are entered directly into the system.
Supplies Control
A thorough inventory can be maintained on stock supplies such as surgical instruments, medications, laboratory supplies, stationery, and staff supplies. This helps the administration keep a quick view of usage and control wastage.
Billing
A separate automated section handles billing, summing up all of a patient’s expenses at once and producing a complete bill at the end of consultation or at discharge, saving time and effort across departments.
Insurance
The relevant insurance company can check claim details and progress the claims process. This data is stored in the database and can be retrieved later by the hospital, patient, or insurance company.
Laboratory / Radiology
When a doctor requests a list of tests, it’s updated in the HMS and received directly by the laboratory. This interfacing reduces errors and, since all data is stored in the system, past patient reports can be retrieved and reviewed anytime.
Employees
Includes basic employee information such as contact numbers, address, and professional details. Every new employee is registered in the system, with medical details recorded for their benefit.
Statistical Reports
All data in the HMS is integrated and can be analyzed, creating a statistical database for internal hospital use that can be submitted to administration to help summarize expenses and evaluate necessary versus unnecessary expenditure.
